Caring for your new Tattoo:
Leave the bandage on for two hours. If the bandage is sticking to your Tattoo, wet the area with clean warm water to slide the bandage off. DO NOT REAPPLY THE BANDAGE. Wash the area gently with a mild, fragrance free soap and warm water. Pat the area dry with a clean towel. DO NOT SCRUB THE AREA. Wash your Tattoo in the morning and at night. After washing, allow the skin to dry and massage the area with fragrance free moisturizing cream (Cetaphil or Aquaphor) for a while. With clean hands, wipe any excess moisturizer off. PEELING AND FLAKING IS TO BE EXPECTED. This is totally normal part of your body’s natural healing process. Do not rub or pick the treated area while it’s healing. Loss of color and infection can occur. Avoid swimming or soaking for three weeks. Exposure to the sun, over the years will fade your Tattoo. This can be avoided by using a strong sunscreen, at least SP50. If you have any problems or questions call us at 718-204-7600.
